I’m a California grown, 29-year-old writer and horror collector who has an obsession for coffee and bacon.
I’m Megan, the voice behind Dead On Arrival or D.O.A. I’m a Southern California native who can’t stand the sun, eats breakfast food for dinner and is a world class enabler. My overall time spent on the internet is unhealthy. I live for days dedicated to sweatpants while avoiding telephone conversations. I love breakfast food especially bacon. I absolutely hate the heat, summertime is my worst enemy. I love theme parks and haunted attractions that scare the shit out of me. I’m a college graduate with two degrees that are purely used for decoration. That about covers it for now.
What do I do? Outside the wonderful world of the internet, I work as a Corporate Sales Coordinator for one of the most well-known amusement parks in the country. Between my blog, my job, the love of my life and traveling, my life never seems to take a breather.
Just a little backstory to how I got here. When I was a kid, I knew I wanted to be a writer. I would write pages upon pages of some story I had cooked up in my brain feeling excited about this whole new world I created. And I was always brewing something different. I could disappear into whatever I fabricated and it felt rad. By starting this blog in April of 2017, I was able to open myself up more and to connect with others on a deeper level. And as a result it has allowed me to connect with people from the horror community. Before I knew it, I was offered a place to blog for Terror Threads, a horror apparel store of whom I have a strong friendship with. As I continued to blog, I began extending my network as an influencer. In just three short months, I had retained a large following on social media. Realizing that I couldn’t stop there, I pushed the envelope even harder. Throughout all my hard work came success. I’ve been invited to several events such as; Ru-Paul’s Drag Con, Midsummer Scream and Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor as a member of the press. In September of 2017, I was offered to blog on a biweekly basis for my close friends over at the Little Shop of Gore. Representing myself as a fun, free-spirited, lifestyle blogger has made me both relatable and enjoyable to my fan base. I have continued to grow as a result from the endless waves of support from so many people and I’m forever grateful. I am extremely thrilled to be able to write even more about what I love while branching out even further to those who enjoy the same interests.
